Interestingly, the name Xbox also comes from DirectX as Xbox uses the technologies introduced in DirectX. What version of DirectX do I have on my system?.I'll be filing a support request with EAC shortly. If that doesn't work - and it IS a lot of work - then I'll be out of ideas.īy the way, I have not heard from either Focus Home or New World Interactive. I'm going to try one more time to erase all the saved-game folders, registry entries or whatever. Therefore, when I run the game, it has a mis-configuration - possibly relating to EAC. That is that when I un-installed Sandstorm, something was not cleared - some setting left over from my previous video card. If a person can't change video cards without being branded a cheater, there's a problem with EAC, not with my PC.

I'm currently reading through the EAC site, but so far their suggestions are not helpful. Is there an option to run Sandstorm without EAC, even for single-player? Apparently not. By design, there's no way for me to correct this mis-judgment. And which probably have nothing to do with this problem.ĮAC (a product of Epic games, apparently) is complaining about a perfectly valid Nvidia driver DLL, installed yesterday. I've done everything right - I'm not going to demolish all the endless things that my PC does perfectly well. This is an Insurgency: Sandstorm and/or EAC problem and nothing else. Moreover, I've now tested over a dozen other big-name games, and they all work perfectly. None of these things has changed since yesterday, when Sandstorm was running perfectly. Ripping out my USB drivers and such is just not going to happen.
